Louie Baldi Obituary

Louie Charles BALDI Born November 20, 1911, the son of Italian immigrants, Ernesto and Italia (Collodi) Baldi, died on August 16, 2004. A native of West Seattle, Louie was primarily self employed in diverse careers as milkman, produce distributor, restaurant owner, real estate agent, loan officer, and refrigeration/air-conditioning serviceman. An inspired artist, he was a talented wood carver, and active in archery, hunting, horseshoes, boat building, fishing, camping, and vegetable gardening. He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Helen (Klaasen) Baldi, son, Jeb (Gloria) Baldi, Ellensburg, WA, daughter, Nina (J.J.) Jasper, Aptos, CA.; grandchildren, Gia (Gary) Cummisk, N. Dakota; Ty (Kathy) Baldi, and Josh (Deanna) Baldi, both of Seattle; Mitzi (Dave) Zamarripa, and Noelle (Rick) Boilek, both of Hawaii; and Karina (Vaughn) Aldredge, West Seattle, along with eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving sisters are Rose Callero of Kirkland and Faye Bradley of West Seattle. Deceased sisters are Ann Lucchesini and Lilli Barnes, both of West Seattle. A Memorial Service will be held on August 27, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at the Main Lodge at Camp Long in West Seattle, 5200 35th Ave. SW. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in Louie's name to Alzheimer's Association, 12721 30th Ave. NE, Ste. 101, Seattle, WA 98125 (www.alzwa.org), or a charity of your choice. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Seattle, WA entrusted with arrangements.
