Russell, Loretta Clifford Of Crete, Illinois. died, July 12, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne M. Russell, on December 3, 2005; and her brothers, George F. Clifford (1959) and William A. Clifford (1989). Born at home in Chicago, Illinois, on June 6, 1909, she was the beloved mother of Loretta Russell Hoffmann (husband, James E. Hoffmann) of Houston, Texas and Lorayne Russell Riley (husband, Albert R. Riley) of Keene, Texas; cherished grandmother of Tracey Femiano (husband Dr. Anthony Femiano) of Medford, New Jersey; Deirdre Berry of Bridgewater, New Jersey; Shaun Pettine (husband Dr. Stefan M. Pettine) of Fort Collins, Colorado; and Alan Russell Riley (wife Dr. Yulia Marchenko) of College Station, Texas. Loretta was the dearly loved great-grandmother of Catherine Muglia (husband Anthony Muglia), of Bridgewater, New Jersey; Elizabeth Zaczyk (husband Michael Zaczyk) of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey; Sarah Femiano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Lauren, Henry, John and Madeline Pettine, of Fort Collins, Colorado; and the great-great-grandmother of Joseph Zaczyk. Her life was enriched by the devoted attention of niece, Jeri Remijas and grand-niece, Linda Kelleher. She is survived by many other nieces and nephews. Throughout her life Loretta held fast to her faith in God. She used her many artistic abilities to the delight of her family and friends, most recently in the watercolors she painted for birthday and other holiday cards. A self-effacing, loving and generous person, her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service for Loretta and Wayne Russell will be held later this summer.
