- Loraine Jonas, age 94, resident of Summitt Place , Kings Mountain, former resident of 802 Jackson Street, Kings Mountain, died June 3, 2006 at Summitt Place. She was born in York, SC, daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Rosa White Jonas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Guy Jonas, Marion Jonas, James Jonas, sisters, Elizabeth Shillinglaw, Jessie Jonas. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain where she was a former Sunday School teacher, choir member and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also the oldest living member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a retired Seamstress.

SURVIVORS: Sister; Louise Lynn, Kings Mountain Brothers; D.L. Jonas, Lexington, NC Bill Jonas and wife Virginia, Rockwell, NC Numerous nieces and nephews

FUNERAL SERVICE: Grace United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain, NC Tuesday, June 6, 2006 3:00 P.M. Rev. Danielle Duncan and Dr. Glenn Jonas, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:30-2:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 6, 2006 Prior to the service at Grace United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: Rose Hill Cemetery, York, SC
