Lois Gould Obituary
She was born June 8, 1917, in Greene, the daughter of Frank and Neah Hollenbeck.
She married Donald P. Gould on Sept. 13, 1936. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Order of the Rebekahs. She was an avid quilter and a member of the Catskill Mountain Quilters. In 1992, she was inducted into their Quilters Hall of Fame. She had been a village clerk for the community of Delhi for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald H. (Gayle) Gould of Franklin, Ind., and Charles (Barbara) Gould of Bel Alton, Md.; and a daughter, Diane (Richard) Lutz of Bloomville; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, DeNeil Hollenbeck in 1961 and three sisters, Mary Hill in 1995, Ruth Jowlston and Inez Young, who passed away on the same day as Lois, hours apart.
Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Delhi, with the Rev. David Collum and the Rev. Nancy Truscott officiating.
Burial of the ashes will follow the services in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
Contributions in memory of Lois may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 121, Delhi, NY 13753.
Arrangements are by the MacArthur Funeral Home of Delhi.
