Linnie Smith Obituary

Smith, Linnie D. age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in Chicago, IL. She was an active leader in the Cottage Grove Heights Community, she served as a Local School Council Member for over 10 years. Linnie's caring spirit, passion and boundless energy will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to call her a friend or neighbor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, from 1 to 8 p.m., family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m., at Christian Brothers Funeral Home, 8243 S. Ashland Ave. (Chicago). Funeral services will be held at the Mount Zion C.M.E. Church, Madison, MS with Pastor Jennie Garner officiating, beginning at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 10, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
