Libby Olar Obituary

Olar (Levcovitch), Libby A2C20120 87, radio personality, theatrical producer, columnist, actress, social activist, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away August 16th, in Las Vegas, NV. Libby was the producer and hostess of the American- Jewish Variety Show on WXFM radio for over 14 years. She originated and wrote her Off The Record column in the Chicago Jewish Sentinel. Libby produced local stage productions featuring Jewish oriented talent from Israel, Hollywood, New York and beyond. She was active in the Chicago theater scene acting in productions at Theater on the Lake and other venues. She was active in the B'nai Brith, Mogan David Adom and other Jewish charities and organizations. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben Zion and Anna Levcovitch and her husband, Richard (Dick) Olar. She is survived by her brothers, Norman Temple and Sol Levco of Las Vegas, NV; her children, Linda Zuk of Marietta, GA and Ruby Olar of Lorena, TX; and her grandchildren, Lauren and Sara Zuk of Marietta, GA.
