To Leslie's family:

I was so saddened to hear you lost your very special Mom and Wife. I met Leslie when she was diagnosed and came to Glenbrook Hospital for her first visit. I so enjoyed our visits through the years. She was such a special and fun person--always ready with a smile and a hug. I missed her so much when she switched locations for her treatment but will never forget her great disposition and determination.

Michael and Brianna, please take comfort in knowing how very much your Mom loved you and how proud she was of you both. I always enjoyed hearing the news of your growing up and seeing her latest photos of you two. While you didn't have your Mom nearly long enough you can take such pride in knowing what a special person she was and that she was loved by so many.

To Leslie's husband....that you came into her life when you did was fated. You truly were her "other half". Hold on to that.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Rick, Brianna and Michael, and to all of your family (with a special hug for Debbie), we extend our deepest sympathies. It is so awful to have lost Leslie, and while I know that she is glad to be free of the pain burden she carried for the past year or so, she also truly did not want to leave you. We will miss her deeply, but can only imagine how much you all will miss her at the core of your being.

Leslie became our friend through the Cancer Wellness Center. We spent many hours in discussion, and sent many emails, as we traveled this miserable journey, shared our thoughts and our love and our caring and our ideas, and tried to support each other. She and I delighted in our mutual love of angels. We regret that this phase of the journey is over for Leslie, and can only hope and expect that what she saw ahead is there for her, that she is at peace and in loving hands. She was such a wonderful lady.

We are so very sorry for your loss and do weep for us all.
