Schnayer, Leroy J. age 74, of Woodhaven Lakes, born March 28, 1935 in Chicago, IL, died June 21 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Son of Cy Schnayer and Mary Dratnol Schnayer. Married Lorraine Tovar on December 10, 1955 in Chicago. Survived by his wife, Lorraine Schnayer of Woodhaven Lakes, two sons, Leroy (Cara) Jr. Schnayer of New Lenox, IL, Leon Schnayer of Chicago, three daughters, Leonora (Robert) Smith of Shorewood, IL, Laura (Al) Torres of Dunlap, IL, Lynette (Michael) Panno of Twinsburg, OH, brother, Wayne (Donna) Schnayer of Illinois, three sisters, Charlene Evans of Illinois, Patricia (Charles) Elam of Tennessee, Janice (William) Tan of Illinois. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Leroy was a self employed truck driver. Service at Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St., Mendota, IL 61342, Thursday, June 24, 2010, 4:00 p.m. Burial private at a later date. Clergy Rev. Michael Morrell. Visitation Thursday, June 24th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials to Childrens Hospital of Illinois Foundation.
