Leonard Kania Obituary

S.M. Leonard Kania CSFN Adeline, was called home to God on February 25, 2010 at the age of 88. A member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for the last 72 years. Beloved daughter of the late Rose and George Kania. Beloved sister of Bernadette (Bernard Suchomski), sister-in-law Helen, wife of the late Norbert Kania, dear aunt of four nieces, three nephews, great-aunt of numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Provincialate 310 N. River Rd., Des Plaines. Visitation Friday 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wake Service at 5:15 p.m. Interment All Saints. Memorials to Nazarethville appreciated. Walter L. Sojka, Director. 312-666-2673.

Sr. Leonard, If you are the wonderful nun I was so lucky to have at St. Michael's in South Chicago, for my first grade teacher, I must tell you, I still remember you with love. That was 1950.
