Loudon, TN

Leon Brewster Vineyard, Sr., age 73, of Loudon, has gone to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army, and a retired timber cutter.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, Bob Vineyard and Ada Skidmore Vineyard; sister, Ella King; brothers, Albert, Everett, Eugene, and William T. Vineyard. He is survived by his son, Leon B. Vineyard Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Loudon; daughters, Theresa Vineyard, of Cleveland, Leona Lemons, of Sweetwater, Lesa Dykes and husband, Dustin, of Knoxville and Cynthia Vineyard, of Lenoir City; six grandchildren; one great grandson; sisters, Ethel Buchanan and Thelma Franklin; special friends, Wayne Oody and Harrison Presley. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Ft. Loudoun Medical Center and Kindred Healthcare Center.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, at Click Funeral Home, in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in the Axley's Chapel Cemetery. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements. www.clickfuneralhome.com

My dear friend. I am so heart broken that you have passed. But I am at ease knowing you are free and able to walk tall. I know you suffered for a while and I'm sorry for that. It was an honor and pleasure to help care for you my dear . May you be at peace
