Leon Parker Obituary

Parker, Jr., Leon 71, was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on August 7, 1941, to the late Leon and Genora Parker. He passed on September 26, 2012. Leon, youngest of four children, preceded in death by a sister, Shirley, and a brother Shelton; He leaves to mourn his passing, a wife of 44 years, Mildred; two children, Aaron, (Cheryl) and Leon "Tyrone" (Cheryll); five grandchildren, Cedric, Eryn, Leon "Tyshaun", Jordan, and Luke; one sister, Rose (Emanuel) Younkins. Public viewing October 5th from 4-7 pm at Calahan Funeral Home, 7030 s. Halsted, Chicago. Funeral Services at New Joy Divine Gospel Church, 7625 s. Halsted, Chicago on Saturday, October 6th. Visitation at 10am. Service at 11 am. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery from 4-7 pm. All are welcome.
