Lizik, Leo J. passed away July 11, beloved husband of Jean (nee Janis), loving father of Carol (Joseph) Palka and Nancy (Robert) Hendricks, grandfather of John (Ruth) Palka, Lisa (Paul) Taube, Zack and Kristin Hendricks, great-grandfather of Anthony, Ryan, Isabella, and Lyla, brother of Irene Gombac and Millie Baltikas, brother-in-law of Marion Janiga, uncle of many. You were loved by so many people. We had a full house for your memorial luncheon on Sunday. There were tears as well as laughter. Bob told the story of his first encounter with you and Ma. We miss you so much.

The last couple of days, it seems that every time I start to get sad about the passing of my grandfather, I end up smiling and laughing, thinking about all of the great memories I have of him. From family picnics in the forest preserves to the countless White Sox games that he took me to, I always enjoyed spending time with him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Though we are saddened at losing Uncle Leo, our memories are filled with fun times spent, most especially singing The 12 Days of Christmas at Bob and Nancy's house. It is those memories we will cherish with love for a very special uncle.
