We do not need a special day
to bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you
are way hard to find.
Each morning we awake,
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
as we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
no one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly;
in death we love you still.
There will always be a heartache,
and often a slight tear.
But always a precious memory
of the days when you were here.
If tears could make a staircase
and heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to Heaven
and bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts,
and there you will remain
To walk with us throughout our lives
until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.
Your loving mother

In the mid-1980's, Chantelle was a student worker in our department during her undergraduate studies at Murray State University. She was not only a great worker and a great student, but also a great person. She is still fondly remembered by department faculty and staff. Our sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Chantelle was the most special sister in the whole world. She was my best friend. She was always there for me no matter what. She always thought of others before herself; a person everyone should want to be. My brother, Bert, and I always looked up to her. She loved us all so much and we missed her when she wasn't here. We always hoped one day she would come back home to live, but she was always dedicated at what she did. What a wonderful person she was. We had so many laughs. Sometimes we didn't even have to tell each other what we were laughing at- we just knew. We were a lot alike. She loved her family very much and we will miss her deeply. If only I could pick up the phone and hear her voice again. We would talk a lot from work and say "Take this job and shove it." There are so many memories. The other day i was eating some corn and it reminded me when I was a little girl, she used to tell me that the little core in the middle of the kernal was poison and that mother and dad ordered me from a Sears catalog. One day when she was vaccuming, I would always want to ride on the back, she told me to get off. I didn't so she took off the attachment and stuck the hose to my head and it sucked out a portion of my hair! We used to share a bedroom and we had a dual-controlled heating blanket and she would turn my control all the way up on hot and sit and wait until i woke up. She used to aggravate me. If only she could again. But I know I will see her again, someday. We were always so proud of how successful she was. My heart is broken and empty but full of many, many wonderful memories. My brother and I were glad to get to meet some of her co-workers. It meant a lot to talk with you. Chantelle could always somehow make you laugh. If only I could see her smile and her beautiful eyes again. Chantelle, I love you and you'll always be in my heart. Rest in peace, most precious sister.

Chantelle was one of the most thoughtful friends that we have had. She was always so considerate and kind to remember your birthday or send a Christmas card.
We loved her for her intelligence, her wit and her humor. But most of all we adored her as a very special friend.
My heart goes out to her family, friends and co-workers.

I worked with Chantelle at EDS in the mid to late 80s in Michigan. Always the hardest and most dependable worker, she lit up the workday with her charming smile and Tennessee twang. My prayers and condolences are with the Bondurant and Henderson families. Peace be with you, Chantelle.
