Leah Jacobs Obituary

Leah E. Jacobs, 89, died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Rest Haven York. She was the wife of the late Clair P. "Bill" Jacobs. She was born November 1, 1916, in Manchester, a daughter of the late Ralph and Georgianna {Speck} Snyder. She was a graduate of the former Manchester High School. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by a son, Michael A. Jacobs and his wife, Deborah of York; two grandchildren, Laura Jacobs and Brett Jacobs, both of York; and a brother, Scott Snyder of Ellicott City, Md. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Snyder; and a sister, Helen Arndt. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4360 Board Road, Manchester, with her Pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Pickering officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be private in Manchester Union Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Stained Glass Window Fund, 4360 Board Road, Manchester, PA 17345; or Alzheimer's Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
