Leah Jacobs Obituary

Leah E. Jacobs, 89, died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Rest Haven York. She was the wife of the late Clair P. "Bill" Jacobs. She was born November 1, 1916, in Manchester, a daughter of the late Ralph and Georgianna {Speck} Snyder. She was a graduate of the former Manchester High School. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by a son, Michael A. Jacobs and his wife, Deborah of York; two grandchildren, Laura Jacobs and Brett Jacobs, both of York; and a brother, Scott Snyder of Ellicott City, Md. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Snyder; and a sister, Helen Arndt. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4360 Board Road, Manchester, with her Pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Pickering officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be private in Manchester Union Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
