Pharher, Lawrence C. age 77, of Hawthorn Woods, formerly of Glenview, beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Carl), loving father of Larry (Gerri) Pharher and Angela Gilgenbach, dear grandfather of Amanda, Ryan, Amber and Jamie, great-grandfather of Lilly and Delaney, fond brother of Dorothy Gerut and the late Violet Simmel, uncle of many. He was an avid race fan and former driver of Nascar and Indy cars. Larry made a career by restoring wooden furniture and interiors of vintage automobiles. Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m., at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 blks. South of Dundee Rd.), Wheeling. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 3 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society, 100 Tri-State International #125, Lincolnshire, IL, 60069, appreciated. I have many fond memories of Your Dad & Mom and such good times in beautiful Marinette, Wisconsin - Bowling, Fishing, Darts, Cocktail Hour, etc. Now they are together again. Hopefully, that thought helps to bring peace to your hearts.

We were terribly sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Being a lifelong friend of my father and our family, he leaves behind many fond memories and some incredible stories! He will certainly be missed.
