Laura Marshall Obituary

Laura Augusta Daniel Marshall passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. Formerly from Louisa, Virginia, she had recently been residing in York County, Virginia.

Known to her friends as "Teeta", she was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on November 20, 1924. She was the last surviving child of James Travers and Annie Augusta Franck Daniel.

"Teeta" is survived by her son, James Russell Marshall and his wife, Elaine; her daughter, Barbara Anne Marshall Mallory and her husband, Randy; her grandchildren, Cynthia Rae Marshall, Brenda Jean Marshall Rivera and her husband, Rob, Amy Carol Marshall Schwartz and her husband, Joe; and Kenneth Scott Mallory and his fiancee, Katie Sansbury.

She graduated from Lane High School and worked for Southern States Inc., prior to her moving to Louisa in 1947. The family thanks her many friends for their visits and support during recent years.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Woodward Funeral Home in Louisa, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held at the Louisa Presbyterian Church at 212 Church Avenue, 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, officiated by the Reverend Todd McCoy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisa Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 522, Louisa, VA 23093.
