Larry Mielitz Obituary

Larry (Pee-Pah) Gene Mielitz, 63, Centralia resident since 1960, died April 29th 2011. Born June 16th, 1947 on Father's Day to Arthur and Ruth Mielitz in Ortonville, MN. He was a retired truck driver from ICON in April 2006. His hobbies included car clubs, working on classic vintage cars, remodeling and building houses, wood working, metal working, camping, hunting, fishing, cooking, karaoke, local and Nascar races, trips to Minnesota, kids, and grandkids. He was in the Army Reserves and a police officer. He was a past member of Centralia Moose and the Centralia Eagles and the Teamsters. Survivors include wife Marilyn, sons James Mielitz and Fiance Erin Mcknight, Douglas Mielitz and wife Rebekah Woods, Joseph Mielitz and wife JoAnn Mielitz, one sister Elsie French, two brothers Laverne and Wesley, grandkids Kayla, Ashley, Charlie, Mikey, Danae and Madison, two great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Arthur in 1998 and mother Ruth in 1990.
Memorial service will be held Sat., May 7th at 1:00 p.m. at The Centralia Eagles with John Martin / Leroy Junker Officiating. There will be a potluck to follow for family and friends.
Arrangements under the direction of Newell-Hoerlings Mortuary in Centralia.
