Gone for many years, but never forgotten. Rest in peace dear friend and co-worker.

My deepest sympathy Mrs. Borchardt, Pam and all the Borchardt family on the loss of your biggest admirer. Dick Borchardt was a man with a lovely smile, an easy laugh, and a generous heart that was crazy in love with his wife and family. One didn't have to be a genius to see how his face lit up in your presence or how he swelled with pride when he spoke of you. May he rest in peace and I hope you find comfort in the love and life you shared.

My deepest sympathy to the Borchardt family and friends. It has been a great pleasure and privilege to have known Dick.

I met Dick a few times at my dad's office and he was a very caring gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor. My dad and Mary just thought the world of him. We are so sorry for your loss and know you will miss him forever. In sincere sympathy

People like Dick are never forgotten. They shape the personality of the people they meet in their lifetime. As a banking liaison from the Harris Bank I had limited opportunity to come into direct contact with Dick, but even in that limited time Dick had a way of making me feel valued and important. I felt that he brought out the best in me and in everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dick's love and pride in his family were woven into a magic carpet that propelled him with grace above the murky waters of the business world. I always felt the power of his love for his family and the loyalty he would have for his nearest and dearest no matter what the circumstances. What an awesome person who left a legacy, compelling others to emulate his character, his smile, his loyalty!

I will always remember Uncle Dick for his kind words, his humor, and his ability to listen (even to a young nephew). No family get together at his house would be complete without him playing at least one song on the piano. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Dick at Martin Boyer Company, and always enjoyed his wit and humor. He was a great person, and I will remember him fondly.

Unfortunately as I was reading today's Tribune, Dick's face caught my eye and couldn't believe that he had passed. We had no idea he was ill. It was a horrible shock. Stan was so sad to lose someone he had known since grade school and we would like to extend our very deepest sympathy to you and your family. We are leaving shortly to go out of town and won't be able to attend the services, but know that our hearts and prayers will be with you nontheless.
