I never had a chance to meet Kristine in person, but I knew her through YSC - and my heart breaks for all of you, for the loss of such a beautiful person, who had such a kind, thoughtful presence.......

Dear Scott,
It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write this condolence to you. Jill told me on Friday that Kristine was going into Hospice and I started praying for her right then. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I hope and pray that you believe that you WILL see your beautiful wife again - in a much better place with no sorrow or pain.
It's with my love, thoughts and prayers that I send this. I will pray God holds you (and all who loved Kristine) up in strength.
Love,
Jan Sandalow-MacDonald (Jill Berg's sister)

I am very very sorry to hear about Kristine's passing. We went to school together and were in the same sorority - and often saw each other out and about in Lincoln Park years ago. My mom is Mary's cousin and it was through her that I heard this morning. I am so sorry - I don't even know what to say - my deepest sympathy to all of you.
With love,
Andrea Daniels

A Better Place
She’s in a better place right now
Than she’s ever been before;
All pain is gone; she’s now at rest;
Nothing troubles her anymore.
It’s we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief;.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.
We know we’ll reconnect with her
At the end of each life’s road;
We’ll see her cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.

The world has lost a beautiful wife, mother and daughter. Our hearts ache for her and she will always be remembered. She fought a tough battle and never gave up. Rest now my angel as you had two very trying years. Until we meet again.
Love, Mommy

You were such a blessing to all who knew you. Your husband and boys were so fortunate to have had you as their own. Your brilliance and kindness lit up the world.
