Miller, Keya Shanelle Passed this life on Thursday, March 2, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones at her home. Keya was born in Danville on November 19, 1971. She attended Danville Public Schools and graduated from Danville High School in 1989. She was an excellent student and never settled for less than an A. After graduating from DHS, she attended Robert Morris College in Springfield and Danville Area Community College in Danville and received her associate degree from both institutions respectively. Later she attended and received her bachelor's degree from Lewis University in Romeoville. Keya was a 25-year employee of AT&T. She began as a 411 operator with Illinois Bell and climbed the corporate ladder, reaching senior level management in advanced global billing operations. In her spare time, she loved to plan parties. She eventually started an event planning business called Party Passion Events with the motto "Where your party is our passion." She also loved to travel and plan vacations for family and friends. She was devoted to God and a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She attended and served in the ministry for over 20 years. She loved her pastor, ministry partners and church family. Keya also loved to sing, and St. John's Mass Choir and Praise Team was her passion! Before moving to Chicago she was an active member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. church in Danville. She had many interests but her top priority was her family and friends. She loved coordinating family reunions, dinners or just friendly get-togethers with loved ones. She started a family prayer line, so we could keep each other encouraged and accountable to the call of God on our lives as well as lift up any and every circumstance that came our way. Keya was a beautiful and talented person who loved fine dining, all music especially gospel, the arts and shopping. She had a beautiful smile and aura that would demand your attention. She was "selfless" and gave her best to everyone in the name of Jesus Christ. She was the epitome of kindness, grace, elegance and love. Keya leaves to cherish her loving memory her parents, Lloyd and Aleta Randle, Earl and Julene Miller; godparents, Dallas and Carol Lyle; brothers, E.
