I'm very saddened by the news of Kevins death, we grew up in the same neighborhood and always stayed good friends. Kevin was always loving and caring, thats why i chose him to be my sons Kenny's Godfather. Since we moved to Indiana in 92, we lost contact with Kevin and his mom and dad. But always stayed in our hearts. I'm just sorry that my son Kenny never really got to know his Godfather. He missed out on a good man.

For the Crane-Boan Family,
I've known Kevin-Jack and Eileen for years while still living in Chgo until 99, when I moved to Dallas. I occasionally met Stevie, but has been 10 yrs since our last meeting.
Kevin always had a smile and always joking at Annies/Bobby's bar. He always had a kindness about him and was always there to listen/and or giving a helping hand when needed. He always cherished his nieces and nephews. He mentioned them to me so often, whether they came to Chgo or he'd fly out to visit them. When I last called him 3months ago, he seemed fairly energetic and chemo was going well at that point, even tho he couldnt talk long. Every June fishing trip to Chgo, I always made a point of meeting Kev at the bar. It was always one of my highlights of my yearly visit.
I'm so saddened by his loss and very shocked at the how quickly progress had changed. Was going to call Kev this week, when I got this sad news from a friend,Tony Ahlfeld. Please accept my sincere sympathies. I've lost a great friend and will take some time to realize he's gone on to other pastures.
Sadly yours, Arleen "FLASCH"

Kevin will be remembered for trying so hard to help you and your mother and father and family through difficult times. Kevin had his mother's smile and his father's gentleness. It is difficult for you and all of your cousins, aunts and uncles to lose yet another Crane. God bless you and keep you. Sincerely, Marylyn Ahlfeld and family
