Kenneth Micek Obituary

Micek, Kenneth Cyril age 63, of Rensselaer, IN, passed away November 9, 2004, at his home. He was born on September 9, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to Ann Theresa (nee Slavik) and John Micek. Ken was a former resident of Chicago where he attended the Chicago Public Schools. He moved to the Renasselaer area in 1998. He was a truck driver for 40 years, the last 3 years having drove for Smith Transport of Remington. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer. He was previously married on July 7, 1963, to Loretta L. Mankiewicz to whom he was married for 30 years. On December 27, 2003, in Rensselaer, Kenneth was married to Judy (nee Tabert) Rafferty who survives. He is also survived by daughters, Veronica (Joe) Zenner, Remington, IN, and Theresa (Jeff) Robinette, Michigan City, IN, grandchildren, Butchie Zenner, Angel Zenner and Jeffrey Robinette, previous wife, Loretta L. Mankiewicz, Oak Lawn, IL, previous mother-in-law, Bernice Mankiewicz, Chicago, IL, sister, Dolores (Mickey) Reeder, Romeoville, IL, brother, Richard (Joan) Micek, Oak Forest, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Friday, November 12, 2004, from 2 to 8 p.m. C.S.T. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2004, at 10 a.m. C.S.T., at the St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Mark Peres officiating.
