Kenneth Koenig Obituary

Koenig, Kenneth V. Age 66, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Kenneth was born on December 17, 1946 to Clarence and Barbara (Howell) Koenig in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966-1972. He married Karen V. Doweiko on May 28, 1977 in Chicago. Kenneth worked as an installation and repair technician for Illinois Bell for 30 years. Survivors include his wife Karen; one son, Brian (Shea) Koenig of Kentucky; one grandson, Anthony; three brothers, Jerry (Debbie) Koenig of Park Ridge, Donald (Violet) Koenig of Des Plaines, and Michael Koenig of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Linda. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 5:00- 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
