Attaway, Kenneth M. age 65, of Brookfield, US Army Special forces vet. 1962-1979, recipient of the Bronze Star, Senior Aviator Wings, three Air Medals, and the Army Commendation Medal. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Wiechecki), devoted father of Brian G. (Jennifer), Kenneth M. II (Samantha) Attaway, Eve (Frank) Trout and the late Michael H. and Daniel J. Attaway, dear step-father of Pam (Randy) Hall, Camille (John) Bisioules and Tanya (Gary) Barnick, loving grandfather of 13. Funeral Friday, March 12th, 9:30 a.m., from Johnson Funeral Home, Ltd., 3845-47 Prairie Ave., Brookfield, to St. Barbara Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Disabled American Veterans, Chpt. #47, c/o Johnson Funeral Home, Ltd. I knew Ken years ago from my working at the VA. I found him to be a genuinely fine man, a tireless advocate for veterans, and a truly patriotic American. He always spoke with such pride and affection about his family.
May God find a very special place for this great guy.
