Keith Mikalayunas Obituary

Keith and I were best friends in my junior year of high school. We saw each other on and off for a few years when I would come home from the Army, until I moved away for college and a job. He was a great friend. We went through a lot of love and loss during that time. He pops up in my memory every once and awhile and it brings me to tears every time. Miss you brother.

Still think of you all the time my friend. Oh what times we had!

With all the years that have passed since youve been gone, it still doesnt get any easier. Your dad and I think of you always. Your sister Kate misses you terribly. While Kate had just 12 years with you, she continues to hold on to the memories of the loving bond that only a brother and sister could have! You were her hero. I love you for the joy you brought to her. At time when I look in Kates eyes I see you . Thats when I know you are always with her. We miss and love you always .

You left us so suddenly, leaving us behind, Where are you now, it is you we must find. Heaven's gates have opened, the light has broken through, Walk toward our Father, He has been waiting for you. An example for everyone you were always there, Helping all in need forever so near. This Holiday Season we will be lonely, but in our hearts, you will stay. We can still see you, you're not far away. Watch over us always, so we will feel safe. In your arms we believe is where we have been placed. You are our Angel, our Hero and our Friend. We'll see you again, at world's end. Your golden wings you'll spread, then away you will fly. Keith, We Love You, but it's hard to say Good-Bye.

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said here in this wonderful tribute to a wonderful person. Keith, I truely hope you know how many hearts you touched, how many lives you brightened, how many smiles you created. You are one in a lifetime and I thank you for your friendship. To my very special friend. We had a special bond that could not be broken.We shared a truly unqiue friendship that no other could appreciate. My sweet loving Keith, for it was only you that would enter into my world when times were saddend for me. It was through your spirt of life that I was able to hold on. Your love and friendship was unconditional and for that I will be eternally grateful. You will never be forgotten. I have been blessed with your spirit through the eyes of your sister Katie. You touched the hearts of so many people throughout your short life, each of them affected by your wonderful outlook on life and love, never letting anything get you down. I will cherish every memory of you, now and forever. It is comforting knowing you are at peace, with God, and watching over all of your friends and family from up above. I will miss you.

I was very sad to hear of your passing. You were one of the first people to call us at My Mom's when my Dad died to give us your condolences, and to tell us what a great man my father was, well Keith you too were a great man, and I have very many positive memories of you. I am very sorry you were not able to live a long life, you will be missed terribly. I'm sure Geno was waiting for you, he did love you like the son he never had.

You truly were an angel!!! You taught me things 14 years ago that I use everyday of my life; how to find something good in everyone, to love people unconditionally and most important the true meaning of friendship. You introduced me to people that are an important part of my life. I will never be able to re-pay you for that. Thanks for friendship, companionship and most of all your love. If my prayers have been answered, my Dad was waiting for you at the gates of heaven to give you the tour. He loved you like a son until the day he died!!!!! You will never be forgotten

Hey, Guz you always wanted to be free, free to do what ever Keith wanted. Never stopping or getting pinned down and no rules. You're truly free, free from the pain, the suffering and the unanswered questions. You asked me once, " why me?". I can only imagine that God wanted you to touch as many lives as possible. Because you brought so much love, happiness and understanding to all you touched. You taught me how not to get caught-up in issues that did not matter in the big picture of life, to move on, to be happy with what you have, and to learn something from each chapter in our lives. I pray knowing you are at peace, and that you are with God, your grandmother and a very special friend Chris Albertson.



I will never forget you or the memories we shared as we grew up together. Chicken Pox, Marco-Polo, Star Wars, Cheers- Hey Norm, The Hornets, The Boat, Tubbing, The Green Elf, The Meteorologist, The EL, Cadillacs, M80's outside Jim's window, Bloody Marries, I'm having a bad hair day, Karaoke, Alabama, The Music, Under The Board Walk, The State Fair, Daytona, "The Guz Man," and unfortunately Silver Cross. Thank you for all that you have taught me, the memories and for being my friend. The brother I always wanted, I Love You Keith! Michael Mlady.

Keith, Keith, Keith - It's so hard to say goodbye to a person who has meant so much to me, but knowing that you are in a better place, and an angel to boot, makes me feel at peace with your passing. You always made me laugh and knew just exactly what to say to make me feel good. You were just about the nicest and sweetest guy I knew and I treasure every memory I have of you; I loved your laugh - it was so intoxicating and contagious. Heaven is a much better place with you in it - check in with us every once in while, we'll know your there. I Love You Keith!

All who read this already know how great of a guy Keith was, and he will continue to have a place in the deapest part of all of our hearts. A man of great passion in everything he did. A gentleman to every person whom had the chance to meet him. The guy who could light up the darkest room with his spirit and charm. A true patriot to every friendship he held. What more can I say except how honored I am to have had the chance to live a part of my life with this extroardinary human being. Keith, I have always cherised our time together and will never forget you. Your buddy Bueno!!!

It's so weird with you not being here. These next couple of days will be the hardest days of my life. You meant so much to me, I will miss you everyday. Remember all those great times we had when I would come down and we would watch T.V. in the garage (of course we were watching the Bulls) and freeze our butts off, but then you went out and bought a heater to keep us warm. The times we had when there was an awesome storm and we would be right there, outside watching it. You said you always wanted to be a storm catcher. Or just the times I would come down and we would just hang out! Keith I've learned so much from you. We had some great times together. And many many many many laughs. That's what I will cherish!
