Kathleen Wollscheid Obituary

Just wanted to let you know what a special lady Kathy was. She would be there for me if ever and whenever I needed her. Even in my pre-teenage years, she always made me feel special. When we had to share a bed for a few months, (boy, could she kick and punch.) we would get up and laugh about who got the best of who that night and the next night would be the "next round". But I loved her so much that I asked her to be my sponsor for Confirmation and I took her name for my Confirmation name. I even wore the "Green Dress and Hat" that night. She will always be a part of me. A part of all of us. She has touched so many lives without even trying.
I love you Gerry, Karen, Eric, Julie, Dan, Patrick and Thomas. Stay strong, and when you can't, remember we are all here for you.

I just wanted to let you know that although we were not there your family has been in our thoughts and prayers. I already miss Aunt Kathy and remember a time when I was toddler that her big hugs scared me. I also remember as time went on how I looked forward to those hugs.
I will always keep those special moments in my heart and mind.
Cammi, Jonny, Caysey, Brenna and myself all send our love and prayers to you and your family.

I always thought there would be more time for visits, talks and just being together. You wanted to see my new apartment and I told you, you will, because I thought we had time.I was unaware of the little time we had.

Dear Gerry,
As I saw the sunshine today, I thought of Kathy up there sending it down. It made me smile and reminded me that she's the one we can blame for putting me behind the wheel. At the age of 46 and 5 kids later, she decided it was about time for me to learn to drive. 24 years later and only 1 ticket! My husband will be forever grateful!

I am very proud to have had Aunt Kathy in my life. I love her very much and I am going to miss her. She has touched all of us one way or another and I will say this, she is an inspiration to us all. Aunt Kathy will be missed but never forgotten.

Uncle Jerry, Karen, Eric, and Julie: I love all of you so much. You have been so amazing and strong. Know that I am thinking of you and praying.

Though I know Aunt Kathy had a positive impact on many people, myself included, it is extremely touching to read these personal accounts. I feel proud that she was so loved and so respected by so many. My aunt was a wonderful person and her legacy is that all our lives were made better because we knew her.

Dear Gerry and Family,
My heart is so heavy with sadness since hearing of Kathy's death, but I know the memories of the many laughs we enjoyed together along with a great friendship, will eventually fill that space. The joy in knowing Kathy's love, and ours in return, will stay with us forever. To Karen, Eric and Julie, we know your mom taught you well by example. I was truely blessed when I married my husband Manny and gained an Aunt Kathy! She helped with the diffcult times of 2 child births and for that I am eternally grateful. I know she will always be looking down from up above over all of HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

The Wollscheid's have been a second family for me my entire life. I had the honor and privilege of having Kathy as my Godmother.

A selfless woman, full of humor and wit, Kathy was a great influence on the man I am today and still strive to be. She saw the best in everyone she touched and never left anyone with a negative thought.

I am deeply saddened that she has passed, but I treasure all of the conversations we had over the last year.

Please watch over me, I'll miss you.
