I lost track of Kathy over the years. There are so many memories of our teenage years together. We didn't even finish the sentenance, "Lets go..." and she would have her coat and hat on and say, "Where to?" There were dances in Waukegan on Friday nights that we didn't miss. Pizza gatherings at my house on the lake. You name it and she was game. She will definitely be fondly remembered. It was great knowing her.

I met Kate when she was at DePaul. We talked about family, friends, work, politics and life's ups and downs over the course of our 50 plus years of keeping in touch. We talked at DePaul, downtown Chicago, Rogers Park , Oak Park, Woodridge, Tucson and in Naperville. Though we both grew older, we could always pick up where we left off on just about any subject. Family was very important to her, and she especially liked to talked about her children and their families, and the arrival of grandchildren in recent years. I am grateful for our friendship and will fondly remember our time together.
