Kathleen McFarland Obituary

Kathleen Sheridan McFarland July 31, 1916 - May 29, 2005 Kathleen McFarland, a long time resident of Orinda died on Sunday May 29th after a long illness. She was 88 years old. Mrs. McFarland was born in Anaheim, California. She graduated from UCLA in 1938 and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She married John McFarland in 1940. They moved to Orinda in 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and her brother Edward Leo Sheridan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary and John Dodge of Orinda and her son John Scott McFarland also of Orinda. She is also survived by two granddaughters Carolyn Dodge Adams of Marina Del Rey and Kathleen Dodge of Berkeley. She was a member of the Orinda Garden Club, Orinda Country Club, The Claremont Country Club and the St. Francis Yacht Club. She Was also a long standing member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Orinda where she served on the Alter Guild and Vestry. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Orinda Saturday June 18 at 2:00PM.
