RIP dear cousin. Even when we played together as children, you were wise beyond your years. I cherish your wisdom, your inner strength, your compassion, your humor, your capacity to speak up for those who have no voice , and your writing talent that touched so many. I cherish you. Love forever. Cousin Thelma

Kathy Hard was a fighter for rights and Justice. I met her at the Austin District office. She was our Union Representative. She was fantastic. She was a teacher and a leader. She went above and beyond to help co-workers and the Public. She went the extra mile in helping people in her Caseload. My Prayers go out to her family.God Bless her for all the great things she did for so many.

I worked with Kathy for many years at the IDHS office on Chicago Avenue until she left the office due illness. She was a joy to work with. She worked hard. She did not hesitate to share her knowledge about the work we did each day. She helped me to become an even better worker after meeting her. She was kind funny caring and could be a hell raiser if need be. I remember when Hurricane Katrina hit in the South she did hesitate to be of assistance to my Mother. Kathy was that type of person she didn´t wait on anybody else to lead. She was the leader. I will never forget her. Always in heart. Condolences to Sue. Her Family friends and colleagues she left behind.

As President of our Resident Council at Casa Scalabrini, Kathy was a positive role model and generous protector of the rights and interests of her peers. She generously gave of her time and energy in many ways, one of which was to provide and update information for the weekly Trivia game she hosted at Casa Scalabrini Village.
She will be missed by so many of us.

Kathy was tireless in her positive attitude and suggestions as President of the Resident Council at Casa Scalabrini. Although I never attended the weekly Trivia games she hosted I was aware of the pleasure she derived from, and the precision with which she chose the information shared at those sessions.
Kathy will be greatly missed here at Casa Scalabrini.
