I am a third cousin of Kathleen's. We never met, but I have written a book titled Kirby - O'Donnell Genealogy: The descendants of James Kirby and Mary O'Donnell who settled in Lee County, Illinois. Dear Maureen, John and children...
Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your mom/grandmother. Although I had met her only a few short times, she seemed to be a very special woman with a keen sense of humor and that beautiful "Irish twinkle" in her eyes. May all the wonderful memories that you cherish of her sustain you through the days, weeks, months ahead.

Mrs. D was always there for myself and my family. She saw us through some tough times with her never ending support. Always there to lend a hand and make me laugh. She was a true "gem" who will be sorely missed by all.
