Karen Mocarski Obituary
Karen Ann Mocarski (nee Dougherty), a long-time resident of Villa Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 79 years old. Karen was born on September 20, 1943 and was raised in Chicago where she met her beloved husband of 58 years, Ken Mocarski. Karen is survived by Ken and her five children Ken, Jr., Carrie (Stephen Meskan), Kathleen (Brett) Gargano, Chris (Mark) Kaphengst, and Mary (Sam) Kletzien, and her seven cherished grandchildren: McKenna, Cailin, Kate, Sam, Hayden, Ryan, and Dorothy. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Devlin Dougherty and George Dougherty, her brother George Dougherty, and her infant daughter Cheryl Mocarski. Karen was a treasured wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, great-aunt, in-law, and friend. Visitation Monday, December 19, 2022, from 3:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Steuerle Chapel 350 S. Ardmore Ave Villa Park, Illinois. Prayers, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 9:30 AM from the funeral home to St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 300 S Cornell for Mass at 10:15.
