Dear Don, Strom and Soni,

Two weeks have gone by since we saw you at the memorial service. Julie and all of you have been in our thoughts and prayers..

I know how hard this time of trying to get back to normal can be.

I just want to mention one of the many contribution you all gave to NNM and that was the many years Julie and Don sat all day at the Halloween Party carving the most detailed faces on very large pumpkins.. You both continued your work of art even after Soni and Strom graduated. NNM was very lucky to have your family as part of their family. Julie was a dear friend. I wish I could have talked with her just one more time. Those choices we do not get.

God Bless you all.

Dear Strandell's:

I just wanted to send my very sad condolences to your wonderful wife and mother, I worked with Julie at DMB&B several years ago, at the time I was a junior producer learning the "ropes", Julie always allowed me the opportunity to grow and learn on her accounts. I felt it was such an honor to have been mentored by her.In the late 80's women in advertising had no business being there, but Julie made every woman's job there meaningful and exciting, she offered and encourged me to follow my goals as a producer... she set the path for many woman in advertising. She displayed poise, charisma, charm, and most of all patience to teach others.

I feel blessed to have known her, she will be dearly missed.

Her star shines the brighest in the heavens..

Love ,

My sincere sympathy to Julie's family, whom we did not know, except our Aunt Janette. I grew up with Julie as cousins but hadn't been in touch for many years. I remember her as beautiful, fun, and kind. I will keep all of you in prayer.

Dear Don, Strom and Soni,

This is so sad. I did not know Julie well at all, just to say "hello" to in the halls at NNM (my oldest daughter, Alexis, and Strom were both in Rita's class), but she always had a cheerful greeting and a winning smile.

May God comfort you in this difficult time. May her memory be eternal.

Don, Strom and Soni, I heard the very sad news from a fellow, former B&B colleague. I regret I will be unable to attend the service, as I am laid up with a shattered ankle. I will send off a contribution in her name.

Julie hired me as a copywriter for my first agency job. The B&B gang (Becky, Mike, Larry V, Walter, Vince...) had some memorable times and lots of laughs. To this day, B&B was the happiest time of my career.

Women bosses do not get such a good rap, but Julie was a terrific boss and a wonderful mentor.

She was a role model for me and I do believe she would have been proud to know how much I took her management style to heart.

I am a writer, but I am at a loss for the perfect words to say now. So...Love and peace, Lesley

I'm sure mine is a story like many others, just another soul that Julie adopted.

She liked to tell the story that when I started in the Advertising business I was in pigtails; it wasn't till years later that I fully understood the meaning. She was right, I was, and she took me under her wing and gave me guidance, opportunity and strength. She would throw you into the water knowing better than yourself what a good swimmer you could be.

She was my mentor. And I loved her.

Funny thing that ripple effect. By touching my life she affected so many others, other opportunities I was able to create and it goes on.

Although we did not stay in touch I thought of her often, always on her birthday, and I missed her. I wanted her to be proud of me and I will continue to live up to her standards everyday of my life.

Julie you were as beautiful inside as you were outside and we are all blessed to have known you. You will be missed but never forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to your beautiful family.

May god's peace be with you.

Yours,

Becky Ruff
