She was alway Mrs Hazelkorn to me...neighbor, carpool Mom, 7th grade teacher, and wife of my dentist! A real force in my life looking back. Although we fell out of touch after my parents moved away, I will always remember the important roles she played in my life. Condolences to Arlene, Mr. Hazelkorn and her brothers.

Mrs. Hazelkorn was a true inspiration. As a teacher and a great soul, she was a dynamo who challenged and bettered the lives of each of her students. We all send our wishes to her family, with the knowledge that her legacy will live on in the memories and deeds of everyone she touched.

Cousin Joyce has always had a special place in my heart. As a child I loved coming over to her house and listening to her stories. I saw her for the last time, the last time I was in the states, which was in October. Mom, Tracy, me and my kids went to their house in Highland Park and memories were all over the place, and I am so glad that I got to experience that feeling one more time. Arlene, Michael and David you have all been very much in my thoughts...it is comforting to know that she is at peace now.

Cousin Joyce was a very special lady. I loved her very much. She was always smiling, and I loved her stories about the family. Okay, I loved all her stories! She always made me feel special, and she was completely supportive of my family. I feel lucky to have known her. I will miss her, but am so glad that she is not suffering anymore.

I recently lost my own mother and I know how significant the loss of a mother, wife and friend is. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with all members of her family.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Joyce and I went to the same beauty shop when we lived in Skokie. She taught all of my children at one time or another: Bennett, Harvey, Mindy and Liz.

My thoughts are with you on this sad day. Ill health prevents me to be at the services at Beth El. I know Sisterhood has so many wonderful memories of Joyce's dedication.
With love, Hortense Rubinoff
