Uncle Mike, Ian, Evan and Hanson Family,
Words cant express how terrible I feel for the loss of Aunt Joy.I am sorry I was unable to attend services for Joy. Not a day has gone by since her passing I havent thought of her. I always remember how sweet she was to me. I will cherish our long conversations over a hair cut, and my visits growing up as a child I had with her. Ian and Evan I love you guys very much and am here always. Remain strong and live each day to the fullest and by doing so, you will be honoring your mom.

Dear Ian, Evan and the Hanson Family:
My heartfelt sympathies are with all of you. Joy was one of the first friends I made when I came to Southeast School and a friend I cherished even though the years separated us. She was a true light of happiness and a true person. May you find comfort in the fact that her suffering is over and may all the wonderful memories you hold in your hearts help you through the tough times ahead. God Bless you all.

Jeri, Ian & Evan,
My heart is with you and your whole family. I hope you find comfort in your memories and love for one another.
A MOTHER SHOWS EVERY EMOTION... HAPPINESS, SADNESS, FEAR, JEALOUSY, LOVE HATE, ANGER, HELPLESSNESS, EXCITEMENT, JOY, SORROW... AND ALL THE WHILE HOPING AND PRAYING YOU WILL ONLY KNOW THE GOOD FEELINGS IN LIFE. SHE'S THE PLACE YOU CAME FROM, YOUR FIRST HOME, AND SHE'S THE MAP YOU FOLLOW WITH EVERY STEP YOU TAKE. SHE'S YOUR FIRST LOVE, YOUR FIRST FRIEND, EVEN YOUR FIRST ENEMY, BUT NOTHING ON EARTH CAN SEPARATE YOU. NOT TIME, NOT SPACE... NOT EVEN DEATH!
WITH DEEPEST HEARTFELT SYMPATHY, LIZ BURNHAM AND FAMILY.

My daughter Emily is a friend of Ian's and I wanted to extend our sympathies to the whole family. I never had the privilege of meeting Joy but I can see through her son she was quite a woman. Our prayers are with you all.

Judi and family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers through this tragic time. Although I never knew Joy personally, I can see through those of you that I have met that Joy was most definitely a genuine light of pure "joy". Know that even though the days and months ahead will be tough, "joy" is all around you. May she rest in peace and may your hearts be filled with peace as well.

Ian and Evan,
Please know that you are surrounded by so many people that love you. Your Mom certainly lived up to her name, she lit up a room with her smile and filled the air with laughter. Her name fit her perfectly. Hold tight to each other and all of the memories you made. As time goes by, you will find these are thoughts that will get you through the day. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
