Slenk, Joseph Stanley age 84, WWII Navy Veteran, beloved husband for 53 years of Helen (nee Panusko), loving father of Joseph, Jr. (Susan), Steve and Michael (Dinah), dear grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 6, brother of Emily Wic, Hank Slenk, Dorothy Mehok and the late Walter and Stella Slenk, also nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Richard Church, 5032 S. Kostner Ave., Chicago. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements handled by: Modell Funeral Home. 630-852-3595.

It's been a very long time since I last was in contact with the Slenk family. I attended the wedding of Helen and Joe in 1954 with Dorothy (Dodie) who was my best friend at that time and who was my Maid of Honor in 1956. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Helen and her sons at this time and Joe's brothers and sisters. I also hope that the remaining family is doing well. I will keep all in my thoughts and prayers.
