Joseph Ryan Obituary

Ryan, Joseph Emmett Age 74, of Lockport, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with his family at his side. He was born in Evergreen Park, living in Lockport for 13 years. He retired from Dellwood Tire in Lockport after many years of service. A United States Army Veteran; member of Lockport VFW Post #5788, Lago Vista Veterans Club; Knights of Columbus Perez Council; and was former board member and served as President of the Board for seven years for the Fairmont School District. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward and Catherine (Martin) Ryan; and a brother, John Ryan. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret (Deacy) Ryan; his sons, Joseph A. (Beth) and Thomas J. (Jennifer) Ryan; four grandchildren, Bridget, Danny, Mave and Gavin; three step-grandchildren, Rachel, Sydney and Oscar; several nieces and nephews also survive. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Dennis Church, Lockport would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. from the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME, 1105 E. 9TH ST. (159TH ST.), LOCKPORT to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Visitation at the funeral home Wednesday, January 2, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Private family inurnment will be held.
