Loving husband of Rose Marie (nee Berger); beloved father of Donna (Paul) Hale, Joseph, Thomas (Sharon), Michael and Jennifer (David) Gurdak; fond grandfather of Lucas, Nikolas, Katelyn, Jacob, Rebecca, Joshua, Sarah, Kelly, Joseph, Mia and the late Michael; dear brother of Dolores, Charlene, the late Donald and Colette. I worked with Joe in the old Area Three but knew him first from Englewood. He was a great policeman, quick witted and resourceful with a wry sense of humor. God rest his soul and I hope you find peace.
