Dear Aunt Adeline, Joni & Joe & Susan,
Sharing this grief with you has been so touching and emotional. We lost our wonderful Dad, Steve and then our fun loving, personable, gentle and loving Uncle Joey on the same day. This was a tough thing to swallow. During my Dad's complicated illness this year at one time he being still somewhat sedated asked and then yelled for his brother, "Joey", my son Jeff and I were there at the time, Jeff turned and said, "hey Fat, it's me Joey, what do you need?" My Dad said, Joe, get me outta here, help me out", Jeff did some fast talking like Uncle Joey was so good at and calmed him down. And then it turned out Fat ended up helping Joey out of here in the end and together they made their last journey together and with such dignity and admiration, like they each deserved. I know you will all miss him dearly, hoping his fond and wonderful memories will carry you all through.
Love,
Cathy Lane (Niece) and Jake, Jeff,Leslie, Scott & Stacey
