Gierlasinski, Joseph J. Age 100, of Hinsdale, formerly of Chicago. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Beloved husband of 71 years to the late Eleanore G. (nee Beck); devoted father of Norman J. (Carol) Gierlasinski and Linda (David) Bremer; dear brother of the late Walter (the late Sophie) and the late Frank (the late Josephine) Gierlasinski; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the chapel to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs for Mass at 9:45 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. Member of Our Boys V.F.W. Post #4684 and the V.F.W. Rhine Post #2729, former President of P.N.A. Lodge #1577, P.L.A. Sherman Post #27, former President of the Polish National Alliance Lodge #1577, Polish Union of America, P.R.C.U. and also served as an Usher and was a member of the Senior Club at St. John of the Cross Church.
