DeCaro M.D., Joseph R. age 84, beloved husband of Violet (nee Ingraffia), loving father of Donna (Randy) Pence, Debra Jo Maier and Peter Charles DeCaro, proud grandfather of Teesha (Joseph) Murphy, Truen, Zhavanya Pence and Jonathon and Megan Maier and the late Erika Pence, dear brother of Josephine Wallace. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., to St. Mary of The Woods Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation Monday, from 3 to 9 p.m. Dr. DeCaro was a surgeon and general practitioner at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago for 38 years, chairman of the surgical staff and president of the medical staff. member of Billy Caldwell American Legion Post 806. 773-736-3833.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
