Joseph S. Casarez, age 79, longtime resident of Wilmette; beloved son of the late Mary Ramirez; dear brother of Homer R. (Cheryl) Casarez and the late Norberto R. (the late Sylvia) Casarez. Fond uncle of Terry Casarez, Steven (Kristen) Casarez, Eileen (Jack) Yates, Sarah (Tom) Reilly, Mary Beth Casarez and the late Norberto Casarez Jr. Adored great-uncle of 11. Cherished friend to many. Services and interment were private at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in Joseph's memory are appreciated. I am sorry to hear of Josephs passing. I was the administrative assistant for Local 110. I spoke with Joseph many times. I am sorry that he spent the last years of his life in poor health. Our sympathies to.his family. May he be at rest now.
