Jordan "Jordy" Berman, age 94, of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, formerly of Chicago. Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Berman Automotive Industries, Inc. in Chicago. Served honorably in the United States Navy as a Corpsman during WW II; beloved husband and best friend for 70 years of Eunice, nee Berg; loving father of Bradley (Diane) Berman, Myles "Mickey" (Mitra) Berman, Karen (Steven) Mondry and the late Jay "Joey" Berman; proud Zaide of Elizabeth (Dr. Bob) Barcohana, Calvin and Justin Berman, Elliott and Sari Mondry, Brandon (Betsy) Berman, Brittany (Eric) Booth, Chase (Karen) Berman, Mitchell and Kevin Berman; proud great grandfather of Hunter, Kayla, Nicholas, and Jackson; devoted son of the late Charles and the late Syrell Berman; dear brother of the late Jeanne (late Maurice "Sonny") Lapins; fond brother-in-law of Howard Berg; and friend to many. Jordy was known for his legendary practical jokes and wonderful sense of humor. He will be most remembered for his devotion to his family, his belief in Judaism and his duty to his country. Service Friday, 12 Noon CT, at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). Masks are required in the Chapel. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
