I am comforted to know that my father left behind many great memories and that he is still on the minds & lips of many friends and loved ones. Not a day goes by that I have not been reminded of him in one way or another. He had a hearty laugh and a quick wit. His heart overflowed with love for his family, friends, and country. I learned many good things from my father... Always love your family unconditionally. Never take your freedom for granted. Try your best. Take a nap. My Dad was a fun grandpa who loved to answer all my son's questions, watch his football games, and spoke to his class on Veteran's Day. Dad is deeply missed and always loved.

Dear Bev and Family,
Jon will be deeply missed. I appreciated his friendship and
fellowship in the Legion.
He always made me feel welcome and at ease, I believe he made everyone
feel that way!
We've lost a good friend.

My condolences to the family of a good Legionaire. Jon's knowledge of Legion affairs was a great help for me, as a Past Post Commander, and Past District Commander. He will be missed. A good friend.

My Father, Jon Triphahn, lived a full life and will be missed by all. He was a loving and caring father who enjoyed being surrounded by his extended family. He was a loving companion to Beverlynn, who we now embrace as family. And for 25 years he shared a life with my Mother, though long divorced, I'm sure the feelings run deep. He was a loyal friend to many associates, very active in the American Legion, VFW, Masonic Lodge, The 40/8, and in my youth he was a Little League Coach and Scout Leader in our hometown of Northlake. He touched many lives in these roles, I have heard many good stories. There are many wonderful memories I will cherish, family gatherings, outings, and vacations. Jon left a living legacy in his children, and we all take up the charge, to carry on in his memory. We do so proudly, and trust others do so as well. God Bless You Dad. You are with me in spirit, each day I will think fondly of you, and I thank you for giving me the Gift of Life.
Love, your son, Richard.
