John Wanner Obituary

Wanner, John A. 68, of Rockford, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 3:50 p.m., at the Laurels of Shane Hill where he had been a patient. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 27, 1950, the son of John and Mary Catherine (Breen) Wanner, both who preceded John in death. Surviving are two sons, Timothy Wanner, Illinois, and Matthew (Kristina) Wanner, of Monee, Illinois. Also surviving are 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and 3 grandchildren. After high school, John received a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's in Theology. A memorial service will be held on July 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Walter's Church, 11722 S. Oakley Ave., Chicago, 60643. John will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL. Burial will be private.
