Stavola, John age 83, U.S. Army Vet. WWII, awarded Bronze Star and 2 Purple Hearts. Beloved husband of Anna Stavola (nee Albergo, loving father of Michael (Barbara), Marianne (Michael) Scaramuzzi, John Jr. (Robin), Joseph (Patricia) and the late Philomena Choate, cherished grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 18, dear brother of Antonia (Anthony) Farinella, the late Joseph (Catherine) Stavola and the late Mary (Vincent) Parmagiani, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 9:30 a.m., from the Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd., to St. Gall Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
