John Stanislao Obituary

Stanislao, John R. Of Wilmington, passed away suddenly at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Saturday, October 27, 2012. Age 77 years. Survived by his wife of 26 years Pat Stanislao (nee Subgrunski); Three step-children Barb (Roy) Surdej, Anthony (Karo) Adolfino and Jeff (Maria) Adolfino; Beloved grandfather of five grandchildren and great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren; Two sisters Victoria Teska and Josephine Stanislao; A brother Charles Stanislao; Also numerous nieces and nephews survive. Preceded in death by his parents John and Josephine Stanislao; A sister Carmella Toplak and a step-brother Pete DeProsteris. John retired from Joe and Ross Ice Cream Co. located in Cicero where he was a truck driver. He was currently a bus driver for Joliet Township High School Bus Service and Septran Transportation Co. in Naperville. John's favorite pastime was his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing cards, camping at the Wilmington Recreation Club and spending time with his family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Friday, November 2nd at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 8:00 P.M.
