Sloan, John Patrick age 74, Chicago Police Department for 27 years as Sergeant in District 18, Army Veteran, graduate of Chicago State University and Masters Degree from University of Southern Florida, Chicago Public Schools Teacher, Real Estate builder in Florida, currently of Elmhurst, cherished son of the late Barney and Sara Ann Sloan, beloved father of Richard P. (Melinda), Kathryn L. (Hugh) Morris and Steven W. (Susan), proud grandfather of Christopher, Benjamin, Stephen and Caroline Sloan, Brooke and David Morris and Ashley, Rachael, Marjorie and Abbey Sloan, dear brother of Ed, Tom, Jim, Andy, Betty, Mel, Mary, Theresa, Margaret and Ann. Visitation Saturday, 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 64 Norfolk, Clarendon Hills. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chicago Police Widows and Orphans Fund, at 221 N. LaSalle St., Suite 1626, Chicago, IL, 60601. I am very sad to hear of Jack's death . we returned from Colorado late last night and I am just reading my e-mails; Tom Cademartrie sent the information along.
