John Shipley Obituary
Age 70, of Plum Boro, on Thursday, January 24, 2008. Beloved husband of Bette Grace (Davison) Shipley; loving father of Shirley J. Susa and John O. (Lisa) Shipley, Jr.; cherished "Pa" of Johnny, Gina and Jacob; brother of Kay (Mike) Brennan. A devoted and active member of Unity Community Church and employed by IDL for 45 years. Friends received Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES/ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. Funeral Monday 11am in Unity Community Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 W. Station Square Drive, The Landmarks Building, suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to Unity Community Church, 215 Unity-Trestle Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15239.

To Bette and your family, I shall miss Jack and will "always" remember how supportive and helpful and loving he was. Especially during the time when my deceased husband, John was very ill and fighting cancer. I am so fortunate to have been Jack's friend and will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We are so very sad for your loss of your wonderful husband, father and "Pa". Jack will always be held dear in everyones heart. He was truly a man of goodness, love, kindness, and of God. In return he had the same returned to him by all of his wonderful family. His precious wife, Bette Grace, by his side and loving him all the while. May you feel God blessings around you during this very tragic time. Jack is in our wonderful Lord's presence right now. What a glorious sight. He is happy and healthy and with God. Our hearts and prayers are with all of you.
