Dear Segvich Family,
I mourn with you at the passing of John, a fellow veteran, Croatian, and White Sox fan. While no words can bring solace at such a time, please know that John and your family will remain in the prayers of my family. I am certain that my Mom was there to greet him and show him around. Being married to a Croatian for nearly fifty years, I’m sure she knew exactly how to ease him into his new surroundings.
May God Bless you and keep you at this most difficult time and always.

To the Segevich Family,

In a way vending at the ballparks is day to day job, in that once a game is over everybody seems to go their own way. However, in 17 years of vending John Segevich has always been a constant in that business. Unless, he was really ill that day John would be at his post greeting vendors and writing out the assignment cards. Plus, I will always remember how John would sometimes stop at Bertucci's (in the ballpark) get a little something to eat and sit down with my brothers and I to talk about things in general, I count those as some of the most pleasant times I've had at the sports stadiums. . I'm going to miss him .

My Condolences,
Dennis Hogensen

Mr. Segvich met me in 1984 and we worked in different roles at Wrigley Field in Chicago. I always knew him as being fair and professional in all respects on the job.
John did "common things uncommonly well."
God Bless him...let's strive to emulate his strength, love and faith in our own lives.
Thank you brother...
