John Rukavina Obituary
John Rukavina, age 84. Of Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Passed away January 12, 2023. Survived by his loving partner of many years Karen Lavalley and sisters Mary (Bob) East and Angie (late Willie) Rashin. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Kay Cyborski and brother Joseph Rukavina. John was a longtime member of Ironworkers Union Local #1. He was the Chief Structural Building Inspector for the City of Chicago and former co-owner of Rukavina's Restaurant and Torrence Liquors.
Visitation Monday, January 16, 2023 2-8 pm. Funeral Services Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. For more information 773-731-2749 or www.elmwoodchapel.com
